Logistics
What's the weather like in late September?
Late September in the foothills is one of our favorite times of year — sunny days in the high 60s to mid 70s and crisp evenings that can dip into the 40s. We're also at altitude, so bring a layer, drink lots of water, and take it easy your first day.
When and where is the wedding?
We're having a reception to celebrate our wedding on September 25th, 2026 at the Lyons Farmette in Lyons, Colorado.
When should I arrive in Colorado?
We're so excited to celebrate with you in Colorado. We’d love for you to arrive in time for our Welcome Party on Thursday - and if you can join us for the weekend, it would mean a lot. We know it's a big ask, and we don't take it for granted!
Where should I stay?
We've reserved room blocks at two hotels in Boulder. Check out the 'Stay' page for more details - or, use this website to book your room now: book.passkey.com/go/DiFilippoDwyer
Important! The room block is first-come, first-served. If we run out of rooms, we’ll try to add more but cannot promise we will be able to.
When do I need to book my room?
We have a limited number of rooms in the block, and they will be available on a first-come, first-served basis. We recommend booking early to ensure you get a spot; Monday, August 24, 2026 is the last day to get our group rate. After that, rooms are subject to availability and standard pricing.
Is there transportation to the venue?
Yes! We're providing shuttles between the Limelight in Boulder and the Lyons Farmette. They'll bring everyone to the ceremony and run loops back to the hotels (and the after-party) throughout the night, so you don't have to worry about driving. We'll share the exact schedule closer to the date.
Can I drive myself / is there parking?
The Farmette is a working farm with limited parking, so we'd love for you to hop on the shuttle. If it's imperative that you drive, please reach out to us first.
What airport should I fly into?
Denver International Airport (DEN) is about 45 minutes from Boulder. It's easy to get an Uber or Lyft from the airport to one of the hotels in our block!
What is there to do in the area?
We're excited for you to better understand why we love it here. Check out the Boulder page for more details and recommendations.
Who do I contact with questions?
Reach out to us anytime at jillianmattco@gmail.com, and we'll get back to you. We're so excited to celebrate with you!
The Day Itself
Why do you keep calling this a reception?
Good catch - that’s because it is one. The card-carrying introverts we are, we've decided to exchange vows privately and have a ceremony with immediate family only. Then we'll celebrate with all of you at the reception. We can't wait to see you there!
What's the dress code?
For the main reception, we’re calling it Wildflower Formal! Check out our guidance here - https://canva.link/mattjillwedding-attire
For the welcome party, the attire is ‘Colorado Chic’ - ie smart casual with a little western flair if the spirit moves you.
For the gents: a button-down or nice polo with chinos or dark jeans. Boots welcome.
For the ladies: a sundress, jumpsuit, or jeans and a top.
We'll be out on the deck (weather permitting), and Colorado evenings get cool once the sun drops, so bring a layer.
What will the weather be like?
Late September in Colorado is gorgeous but can swing — warm, sunny afternoons and crisp evenings once the sun dips behind the foothills. We'll be outside for the first half of the event, and then will move into the barn for dancing. Expect it to get a bit chilly when the sun goes down!
Will there be food and drinks?
Absolutely. Cocktail hour kicks off at 5:00pm, followed by dinner and a full bar. Come hungry and thirsty - we've put a lot of love into the menu.
Is the wedding indoors or outdoors?
Mostly outdoors, on the Farmette's flower fields and grounds (with rain contingencies in place, just in case). Dress for an outdoor celebration and bring that extra layer for the evening.
Will there be an after-party?
You bet. After the reception wraps, we're heading to Spirit Hound Distillers, right across from the Farmette, to keep the party going until 12:30 AM. The shuttles will get you there and back to the hotels.
Will Kaia be there?
Our girl Kaia has a starring role in the day. 🐾 We can't promise she'll stay for the whole party, but she'll absolutely be part of the celebration.
Guest List & Gifts
Are you registered anywhere?
Your presence really is the gift — making the trip out to Colorado means so much to us. For anyone who'd like to celebrate with something extra, we'll share a small registry and honeymoon fund link as the date gets closer.
When do I need to RSVP?
Please RSVP by July 15, 2026 — it helps us finalize headcounts with our caterer and venue. You can RSVP right here on the website.
Are kids invited?
We love your little ones, but we've decided to make our wedding reception an adults-only celebration. We hope this gives you a chance for a fun night out. Thank you for understanding!
While the reception is not kid-friendly, they're welcome at all of the other events during the weekend! If you need help finding a sitter for the reception locally, let us know and we’ll do our best to help.
Can I bring a plus-one?
Your invitation will indicate whether a guest is included — please check the envelope or your RSVP. If you have questions, just reach out to us!
